MARGAO
South Goa MP Francisco Sardinha on Tuesday said no purpose will be served if he continues to display his aggressiveness in demanding a change in Congress leadership when the party high command has maintained status quo.
A bitter critic of GPCC Chief Girish Chodankar, Sardinha told the media that he had been demanding change in leadership in the interest of the party.
“Now that the party has decided not to go for a change in leadership, my aggressiveness on the issue will serve no purpose. What the high command does in the interest of the party, I have to follow the same being the soldier of the party,” he said.
He added: “As a senior leader, I had told the party why it should go for a change in GPCC leadership, but the party has thought otherwise. I have no issue.”
