Scholarships given at Bicholim
BICHOLIM: About 250 students from different schools in Bicholim were given scholarships of about Rs 6 lakh.
Prof Gopalrao Mayekar inaugurated the 7th scholarship distribution ceremony of late Anusuya Navso Karbhatkar Charitable Trust at Mayem-Bicholim. Jeevan Vidhya Mission member Shivajirao Palaw, Vijayanand Education Society president Rupesh Thanekar, Mahamaya High School headmaster Santosh Kundaikar and Vijayanand High School headmaster Vijayanand Pai were present.
Prof Mayekar lauded the efforts of Anusuya Navso Karbhatkar Trust while Shivajirao Palaw from Jeevan Vidhya Mission stressed the need for self realization. Subhash Shirodkar and Vinayak Karbhatkar also spoke on the occasion. Prof Raghunath Gawas welcomed, Maruti Patil briefed about the programme while Ramkrishnabuwa Garde compered the function. Yeshwant Karbhatkar proposed the vote of thanks.
