Science Day celebrated

PANAJI: JCI Vasco celebrated National Science Day by organising an inter-school science quiz iin which six schools participated. Navy Children School emerged as the winners while St Andrew High School were the runners up.

A science project exhibition was also organized wherein St Andrew Institute won the first prize. They made a project on garbage recycling.

A workshop on e-waste awareness was also organised as part of the day. The resource faculty from NGO Communicare enlightened the students on the concept of recycle, reuse and reduce and how to deal with electronic waste which is a major health hazard in today's times.

Shainaz Shariff, president, JCI Vasco welcomed while Seshma proposed the vote of thanks. Also present were Rohan, Kiran, Vinny and Laffira.
