Sewage works, traffic jams upset motorists in Vasco

VASCO
Sewage work and frequent traffic jams have upset a lot of motorists in the port town.

While the sewage works have led to the digging up of roads, motorists have complained that the lids of chambers at some places have risen above the road surface, making it impossible for them to drive safely along the road, especially at night.

Traffic has been forced to slow down on account of these works, leading to traffic jams and a 7-km trip between Vasco and the Chicalim Sub District hospital can take as long as 30 minutes.

Ambulances are frequently seen struggling to move amid the traffic jams.

Motorists say the road from Vaddem to St Andrew’s circle usually witnesses long queues of vehicles.
