The nationwide programme, Shri Vidya Koti Kumkumarchan Mahayagya, began in Goa on Sunday at the Mahalaxmi temple in Panaji. It was launched by Dr Sanjay Mayukh, chief spokesperson and national media co-head, under the guidance of His Holiness Swami Abhishek Brahmachari. Over two days, one crore chants of Shri Lalita Sahasranama will be completed during this event in Goa.

This Mahayagya, held across 23 States so far, aims to seek the blessings of the deities for India’s development and prosperity. Hundreds of Suhasinis and devotees are taking part. The event will continue on June 30 from 8.30 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 7 pm at the Mahalaxmi temple.

Offering his support, Dr Sawant said that the chants would be completed in the presence of priests from South India and Varanasi along with kumkum offerings. “The noble aim of the programme is national progress and Goa’s holistic development, world peace, and welfare of the underprivileged.”
