Solution to beach parking soon
PERNEM: Admitting that there is parking problem at every beach in the State, Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar said the government is trying to solve the problem.
Speaking to reporters in Pernem, Parsekar said the parking problem at Morjim beach will be solved once land is found. “The hunt for space is in progress,” he added.
“There are many complaints against foreign tourists, who are engaged in tourist taxi business. I have sought information from the Director of Transport and once I get the report, action will be taken in the matter,” he said.
“Every year there is parking problem at Morjim beach. Since there is no tourist taxi stand, the owners are forced to park their vehicles near private hotels or shacks. I know the problem of taxi owners and we will solve it,” assured Parsekar.
