The State Level Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) has allowed for seven of BJP’s nine advertisements in an appeal they had filed after the district level MCMC rejected it.
BJP had submitted nine advertisements that were aimed at promoting their schemes to the district level MCMC for approval. They had, however, been rejected for violation of the moral code of conduct. The BJP had then filed an appeal with the state level committee which held a hearing on Tuesday.
During the hearing, the state level committee cleared seven out of the nine advertisements and asked for clarification on the remaining two. Speaking to media persons after the hearing, CEO Kunal said, “there was some sort of misunderstanding among the members of the district MCMC, which was later cleared.”
