Taleigao minor girl kidnapped

The Panaji police on Sunday booked a case against one Jaffar on charges of kidnapping a minor girl after her brother filed a complaint that she had gone missing from her residence at Taleigao.

 According to the Panaji Police, the family is a native of Dharwar in Karnataka, and until recently the girl, 16, was staying there. However, she moved to Goa on the insistence of her family and was staying with her brother in Taleigao. However, her brother noticed her missing on Sunday afternoon after which he lodged a complaint with the police. The Police have registered a case of 363 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 8 of the Goa Children s Act.

Mapusa Police arrests two in kidnapping case

Mapusa Police managed to track and bring back the mother-son duo over the recent kidnapping case in Mapusa and arrested two persons. The son has since been handed over to the boy s father, Dajvip V Patkar.

MAPUSA  On Saturday evening, Mapusa Police arrested Atik Golandaz (22) and Jairam Figore (42), both from Baina, for allegedly aiding the mother in kidnapping six-year-old boy. In the course of investigation, the alleged accused spilled the beans and revealed that the boy and the mother were hiding in a friend s house in Usgao.
