Toddler drowns in Sattari
VALPOI: In a tragic incident, a one-and-half-year-old toddler drowned after he fell into a bucketful of water at his residence at Pissulem in Sattari on Friday.
According to Valpoi PI Sanjay Dalvi, Mantesh Subhash Chand Mourya was playing in his house, when he fell into a bucketful of water.
The child was rushed to the Primary Health Centre Sakhali, where the doctors declared the child dead on arrival.
The police conducted the inquest and an autopsy report ascertained the cause of death as asphyxia due to drowning. PSI SH Sangodkar is investigating the case.
