Torsem road to be hotmixed by Apr 17

Pernem MLA Praveen Arlekar has directed officials to hotmix the Torsem road by April 17. Arlekar along with officials, Torsem Sarpanch Uttam Veer, former sarpanch Suryakant Toraskar, Baban De Souza, former ZP member Ramesh Sawal, Pernem BJP Block President Tulshidas Gawas and others inspected a dangerous stretch of the highway at Thursday on Thursday.

There have been an estimated 50 mishaps, both major and minor, on this road, claiming 8 lives and causing injuries to several persons.

"I have given a deadline of April 17 to officials to repair and hotmix the road. Besides, a road proceeding towards the high school has also become dangerous and I have asked officials to repair that road too," said Arlekar.
