The Thomas Stephens Konknni Kendr (TSKK) at Alto Porvorim will host its 33rd Annual Antonio Pereira Konknni Puroskar Ceremony in its courtyard on February 3 at 5 pm.
The Dr Jack Sequeira Konknni Puroskar 2022 will be awarded to Menino Mario Araujo for his work for the Konkani language and its culture in the Roman Script.
The Valerio Carvalho Konknni Puroskar 2022 will be awarded to Philomena Samfrancisco for her work for Konkani in the Roman script.
The Maria Afonso Konknni Puroskar 2022 will be awarded to Bro John Malvino Alfonso for his contribution to the growth of the Konkani Language and culture in the Roman Script.
The Late Fr Casimiro De Mello Konknni Puroskar 2022 will be awarded to Miguel Arcanjo Braganza for fighting for the cause of Konknni language and the social issues of the State.
The Martir Floriano Vaz Puroskar 2022 will be awarded to Vishal S. Khandeparkar for the best selected book of the Year in Roman Konknni.
The Antonio Pereira Konknni Puroskar 2023 will be awarded to Fr Jose Dias for his service to the Konknni language, culture and traditions.
Along with these awards, the TSKK will also give some scholarships to the meritorious and deserving poor students.
Priyadarshini S Tadkodkar will be the chief guest at the event. The Annual TSKK Research Bulletin “ SOD -25 will also be released at the function. The articles are edited by Dr Fr Pratap Naik SJ and typeset by TSKK staff member Swara Pednekar.
