Assuring that the Tuem Electronic City project is a eco-friendly project, project officer Amay Abhyankar assured that the project will not cause any pollution.
The project officer was speaking at the villagers' meeting convened at Tuem Panchayat office on Tuesday. The meeting was organised by the Development of Electronics Manufacture Department to explain about the project and its benefit.
Tuem Sarpanch Prajkta Kannaik, officials of Information and Technology Department, managing director of Development of Electronics Manufacture Department Nilesh Phaldessai, businessman Nitin Kuncolienkar and others attended the meet.
Speaking further, Abhyankar assured that there is full transparency in the project and information about the project will be given in the gram sabha.
“Various national and international companies will be included in the IT project. All the villagers should support the project as the future of the next generation is dependent on it,” added Abhyankar.
Stating that youth go to metropolitan cities in search of jobs offering good income, Abhyankar said the project will provide good jobs and decent income, and the youth will stay in the State.
“Various companies will be set up in the village, and these companies will also provide facilities like electricity, water, roads and education for the villagers,” he said.
The authorities present informed local reporters that they will provide detailed information regarding Tuem Electronic city project during the Tuem gram sabha on July 31.
