Two shops destroyed in fire
MAPUSA:Property worth Rs 4 lakh was destroyed in a fire at a house in Sirsaim early Sunday morning.
The fire partly affected the residential home but destroyed a garage and two shops adjacent to the house. The cause of fire is yet to be known.
After getting a call at around 5.25 am, Mapusa Fire Brigade personnel rushed to the site and doused the flames.
According to the fire brigade officials, a garage and a shop belonging to a barber were completely destroyed while an auto-electrical shop was partially destroyed.
Two two-wheelers and three engines in the garage were gutted in the fire.
