Vasco Police HC gets CM’s Gold Medal for excellence in service

Santosh Bhatkar, a head constable attached to Vasco police station, received the CM’s Police Gold Medal from Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for excellence in service on the occasion of Liberation Day

Bhatkar has been in service for 26 years and attached to various police stations, including Vasco, Panaji, GRP and Airport police station.

Bhatkar has also been instrumental in detecting various crimes including murders, house thefts and narcotics raids at various police stations in his career.

Armed Forces Tribunal’s Circuit Bench inaugurated

A Circuit Bench of the Armed Forces Tribunal’s (AFT) was inaugurated on Wednesday. Chairperson of AFT, New Delhi, Justice Rajendra Menon inaugurated the circuit bench in the presence of Member Justice UC Srivastava and Vice Admiral Abhay R Karve.This will facilitate faster disposal of grievances for servicemen and ex-servicemen of Goa. The bench will dispose of around 80 cases in next three days of sitting, a release said.
