Vasco police warns of strict action against criminals

VASCO

Vasco police on Saturday sent a strong message to the criminals while warning of the strictest action possible against anyone indulging in crimes or trying to harass poor people.

Vasco PI Kapil Nayak speaking to reporters warned that no one must think of themselves as goonda.

"I want to tell these people that there is no goonda in Vasco jurisdiction, and only police are the goondas in this jurisdiction. We will not allow any person to believe or act like a goonda and never tolerate people indulging in crimes. We want to give a strong message that Vasco police will take the most stringent action against people indulging in crimes or trying to harass the poor and innocent people," said Nayak.

Vasco PI Kapil Nayak also said that in a bid to control crime, the Vasco police had already taken steps to increase patrolling and take up the area domination initiative in vulnerable areas.

"I, along with my staff of Vasco police, conducted area domination in parts of Mangor, New Vadem, Sainagar and Shantinagar. We have seen that most rowdy and criminal-minded persons move into these areas during odd hours. We are also trying to keep a vigil on street drunkards and prevent the increasing number of crimes in the areas. My message is clear that in case anyone continues to indulge in any offences, we will go strict with them," said Nayak.
