Police have arrested two more persons on charges of trespassing and attempting to steal parked vehicles from within a residential compound in Mapusa.
The accused Yogesh Mollekar from Valpoi and Krishnajit Naik of Ponda were apprehended on Friday.
According to complainant, Uday Sawant of Dangui Colony, Mapusa, three persons trespassed into his compound and attempted to commit theft of his vehicles on Wednesday.
Alert locals caught one of the accused Omkar Chari red-handed while the other two managed to escape. Chari was later handed over to police.
The other two accused were arrested by Mapusa Police on Friday. Two scooters have also been seized from the accused.
The search team consisted of Head Constable Alvito D’Mello and Keshav Naik and Constables Rajesh Kanolkar and Anand Rathod. Further investigation is on.
