Verna woman dies, later tests positive for Covid

A 53-year-old woman from Verna, who was brought dead at the Casualty in Hospicio hospital at Margao in the wee hours of Wednesday morning, later tested positive for Covid.

According to Verna PSI Shridhar Kamat, an antigen test was conducted on the body and the deceased had tested positive for Covid.

During the inquiry, it was revealed that the woman was having diarrhoea and vomiting from September 5 and developed breathlessness on Tuesday evening.

The patient was then shifted to Hospicio Hospital at Margao at midnight and was declared brought dead.
