WRD begins work of de-silting nullahs in Bicholim taluka

The Water Resources Department (WRD) has begun the work to de-silt nullahs in Bicholim taluka.

WRD Assistant Engineer Vinod Bhandari said that work to de-silt the nullahs began in Sanquelim constituency and will continue in Bicholim constituency.

Bhandari explained that there is a risk of flooding during the monsoons and the WRD de-silts the nullahs every year with the help of heavy machinery.

Meanwhile, work of removing the plates of about 20 bandharas in Bicholim taluka has been taken up and this work is also expected to be completed soon.
