PANAJI: ‘The Magic Mirror and Other Stories’, a collection of children’s short stories by Sanjay Borkar will be released on February 14, at 4.30 pm, at Pan Aroma Hotel in Ponda.
PWD Minister Sudin Dhavalikar, MP Adv Narendra Sawaikar, Ponda MLA Lavu Mamledar, Sanvordem MLA Ganesh Gaonkar and noted musician Sidhanath Buyao will be present to launch the book.
Sanjay Borkar has worked as a news correspondent for Konkani, Marathi and English dailies of Goa. He is presently a staff correspondent with The Goan and Goan Varta.
Music compositions by him have featured in many music albums. Besides this, he has three literature books in Konkani and three music CDs to his credit. The Magic Mirror & Other Stories is the first book by him in English.
‘The Magic Mirror and Other Stories’ consists of 10 stories, which depict the problems and vivid facets of the village life. Borkar has penned these stories to impart values and morals to the young readers. Borkar plans to market his book through online shopping sites.
