Two IRB police constables were seriously injured in a road mishap at Vitthalwadi in Ansabhat-Mapusa.
The injured have been identified as Siddesh Thakur (35) and Ramesh Gosavi (31), both residents of Arambol.
According to reports, the incident took place at about 2 pm, when the IRB policemen were riding a motorcycle along the road leading from Vitthalwadi to Dattawadi. Both IRB constables were returning home after their duty.
A car driven by Cylex D’Souza of Siolim was in the oncoming direction, when both vehicles collided with each other.
Both cops sustained injuries and were shifted to the Mapusa District hospital, from where they were referred to GMC.
