6 more Covid deaths, 290 new infections

Six more Covid-related deaths were reported in Goa between Sunday and Monday taking the total Covid death toll to 582.

Of these, four deaths were reported at Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim while two patients were brought dead to Hospicio Hospital and tested positive after post-mortem.

The deceased persons include a 68-year-old man from Margao, two 58-year-old men from Mapusa, a 56-year-old woman from Mapusa, a 52 -year-old man from Benaulim and a 64-year-old woman from Fatorda.

With 290 new covid positive cases and 343 recoveries, active Covid cases count of Goa has reached 2,517. The total confirmed Covid cases in Goa have now touched 42,532 and 39,433 have recovered. The recovery rate presently stands at 92.71 per cent. 

The Health department has tested 2,91,630 samples so far at the rate of 1,99,945 tests per million.
