The activist Sudeep Dalvi of Musical Warriors will be swimming across the mouth of Mandovi on Saturday as a mark of protest for injustice to him by the government.
Sudeep was arrested on trumped-up charges by Panjim Police last year and booked under Sec 505 (2) (inciting hatred among two communities and Sec 188 (Disobeying a government servant's order in the pandemic period), spending four days in police custody.
Even after one year, the government hasn't submitted the case to the Sessions court, nor filed a charge-sheet or initiated the case. Hence to attract the attention of the current government and similar other arrests of comrades in different parts of India, Sudeep will conduct this protest swim across river Mandovi.
