The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is gearing up for the ensuing Lok Sabha polls in 2024 with the first move being reviewing the functioning at some party booths.
The party leaders on Tuesday held a Booth Sashaktikaran Abhiyan which was attended by senior leaders including party functionaries to guide the grassroot workers for the upcoming polls.
At a press conference held in the party headquarters later, BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade said that they will hold a programme from February 24 to March 5 to strengthen the booths.
“We will also review some booths. Lok Sabha polls are approaching and BJP needs to win both the seats this time,” he added.
The party president also clarified that old BJP workers will be rewarded with new positions whereas entrants from Congress to BJP will be accommodated at booths and Shakti kendras. He maintained that BJP loyalists are always rewarded without favouritism.
