Close on the heels of FIRs against Pooja Naik in different police stations in connection with fake promises of government jobs, Canacona police booked three persons on charges of inducing a person to pay Rs 15 lakh to provide a government job of a civil engineer in the PWD to the complainant’s brother-in-law.
Acting on the complaint of one Nisha Chari of Iddar-Loliem, Canacona police registered a case against three accused, Mithil Chari of Mahalwada-Poinguinim, Pritesh Chari of Iddar-Loliem Canacona and Parag Raikar of Margao.
In her complaint, Nisha claimed that on July 3, 2023 the three persons with a common intention had induced her to pay an amount of Rs 15 lakh at Canacona, on the pretext of offering a government job for the post of civil engineer in PWD to her brother-in-law.
Police further informed that the amount of Rs 6 lakh was paid to Pritesh Chari's account from the bank account of the complainant, Rs 6 lakh was paid to Mithil Chari's bank account from the bank account of the complainant’s husband and the remaining amount of Rs 3 lakh was given partly in cash and partly through net banking to Mithil Chari.
Police informed that further all the total amount of Rs 15 lakh was transferred to Parag Raikar of Margao for the purpose of providing the government job. Further investigation is being conducted by Canacona PSI Babu Dessai.
