MARGAO: Curtorim Gymkhana got the better of Raia SC 5-4 in a dramatic tiebreaker to advance to the semifinals of the 23rd Fr. Basilio Andrade Memorial Football Tournament at Musson Ground on Thursday.
The match ended in a goalless draw after regulation time. In the tiebreaker, Curtorim Gymkhana converted all their penalties, with successful shots from Frazer Fernandes, Aliston Fernandes, Ryan Fernandes, Veron Fernandes, and Elton Mascarenhas.
Raia SC also put up a strong fight, with goals from Achilles Fernandes, Jouston Barbosa, Ancel Tavares, and Garrison Fernandes, but fell just short.
