Verna police have registered an offence regarding illegal hill cutting in Sancoale village.
According to a complaint by Dharmendra Marathe from the Mormugao Planning and Development Authority, the incident occurred sometime before May 30, when unknown persons had carried out unauthorised hill cutting in the area without obtaining necessary approvals or permissions from the chief town planner.
The investigation is currently being led by PSI Nikhil Desai of Verna Police Station under the supervision of PI Melson Colaco and with guidance from Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
