Farmers and citizens of Colmorod-Margao seemed bracing up to demand explanation from the government over the host of projects, including creation of an economic district mooted in Margao South Goa falling in the ward.
The Master Plan 2041 for Margao has mooted a Margao South Zone with a host of commercial, residential and economic activities in the area, south of the Margao-Quepem road, leaving both the farmers and citizens in the dark where exactly the projects will come up, whether the projects will be restricted to the GSUDA acquired fields, admeasuring 28,000 square metres or will also include fields and plots owned by private individuals and tenants.
