MARGAO
Margao MLA Digambar Kamat appeared unmoved when alliance partner-turned-political foe, Fatorda MLA Vijai Sardesai questioned the Master Plan 2041 for Margao and his claims that the plan has proposed to sell both Margao and Fatorda for real estate sharks.
Kamat along with BJP MLA Ulhas Tuemkar were sitting on the dais at the function organized by the Margao Municipal Council to felicitate Director, Urban Development, Gurudas Pilarnekar, who has opted for voluntary retirement from service.
Neither did the Margao MLA make any reference to the claims and allegations made by the Fatorda MLA that an impression is gaining ground that Margao and Fatorda is up for sale through the Master plan.
The Margao MLA had come under the scanner of citizens after he had publicly stated there will not be any more presentations on the Master plan in the city and that citizens can send their suggestions and objections to the GSUDA.
