The total victim count of Covid-19 has touched 656 in Goa with five more Covid-related deaths being recorded in the state.
One of the deceased persons was a 34-year-old man from Assonora, who was suffering from Alcohol Dependence Syndrome. The other deceased persons include a 55-year-old man from St Cruz, a 71-year-old man from Karwar, a 70-year-old woman from Vasco and a 59-year-old man from Vasco.
Of the five deaths, four occurred at Goa Medical College and Hospital while one person expired at ESI Covid Hospital.
The number of new cases dropped to 109 on Wednesday from among the 1,469 samples tested. The total confirmed cases now stand at 45,495 of which 1,813 are active cases while 43,029 or 94.57 per cent have recovered.
