Fire services sanitise Curchorem market area

The fire brigade personnel sanitised the Curchorem market areas as a precautionary measure to avoid the spread of Covid in the market area.

The action, which was initiated at the request of the local market association, was appreciated by councillors market traders and by the public.

Meanwhile, Curchorem market area saw minimal movement of people in the morning session of the second day of the curfew.

While many people were seen moving in the market area to make purchases of essential items on the first day, the second day saw a relatively less movement of crowd as people realised the sensitivity of the pandemic.

They were also reassured that grocery and other shops dealing with essential items would remain open in the morning session during the curfew period.
