Ahead of the Budget, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday announced that the government will introduce the Temple pilgrimage within the State, even as he announced that the Dev Darshan tour will also cover the Temple towns of Varanasi, Kashi and Ayodhya in the future.
Saying that the government had promised to start temple darshan within the state, right from Pernem to Canacona, the Chief Minister the project will soon see light of the day. “We all stay in Goa, but we have still not visited the Temples and the cultural centres of the State. To facilitate the people, both locals and visitors, to visit the Temples, we will soon start the darshan from Pernem to Canacona”, Chief Minister said.
Saying that the government’s Dev Darshan scheme has evoked good response from the people heading to Vailankani, Tirupathi and Shirdi, the Chief Minister has further announced that the scheme will cover visit to the Temple Towns of Varanasi, Kashi and Ayodhya in the future”, he added.
