IT Minister Rohan Khaunte will inaugurate the first edition of National Start-up Investor Day hosted by BITS Goa Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship Society (BGIIES) on January 16 BITS Pilani Goa.The event is celebrated as a part of the Start-up India Innovation Summit 2023 and National Start-up Day celebrations across the country. The event is sponsored by Start-up Promotion Cell - Goa, MyGalf, AIC-GIM, Goa Shipyard, and BITS Pilani Goa and the support partners are Headstart and IvyCap Ventures.
BGIIES will showcase its network outreach, investors on-board, and supported start-ups. The investor partners attending the event will be Athera, Build3, Chiratae Ventures, IP Ventures, IvyCap Ventures, Lets Venture, Marwari Angels, Mumbai Angels, StartupXseed, Unicorn Venture. Other investors supporting the event in online mode include Accel, Chiratae Ventures, 8x Ventures (Dubai), Lead Angels, Shell Accelerator.
During the event, some of the deep tech start-ups from areas like Agri-Biotech, AI, AssistTech, EdTech, Electric Vehicle, Healthcare, Logistics, Nutrition, Renewable Energy, Sustainable Fashion and waste management will exhibit their products.
The day-long event also includes a panel discussion with start-ups and investors on ‘What investors bring along with money’. Panellists include Vibhav Joshi - InnAccel Technologies, Swathi Murarka - Athera Venture Partners, Vikram Gupta- IvyCap Ventures, Varun Chawla- Build3, Akhil Singh - Quest and Amit Vasistha - Get A Life (MyGalf).
BGIIES Startup Investor Day is designed to help Start-up businesses scale with mentorship, business resources and investor connections. Through the event BGIIES is positive of the impact it will create in the start-up ecosystem and help build Goa as a favoured start-up destination.
