Has the Margao Municipal Council maintained a register of the houses spread across the city which have obtained electricity and water connection from the power and PWD, water supply departments under the Public Health Act?
Pose this question to the Administrative cum Accounts Officer Abhay Rane for an answer and do not be surprised to hear a reply that the matter falls in the domain of the Municipal technical section. He, however, replied in the negative when asked whether the taxation section has laid its hands on the data of households that have obtained power and water connections from the Public Health Act, indicating that that the civic body has not brought the households enjoying power and water supply under the Public Health Act.
