One held for sexually assaulting boy

The Colva police have arrested a 42-year old person for allegedly sexually assaulting a seven-year old boy.

Colva police station in charge PI Theron D’Costa informed that the accused had touched the private parts of the victim.

The accused has been booked under the provisions of Goa Children’s Act and POCSO.

The police are conducting further investigations.

PANAJIThe Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) sleuths nabbed a notorious criminal, Mohamad Safraj, during a raid at Siolim following which huge narcotics substances consisting of 2kg ganja (marijuana), 15gms MDMA and 4.61gram liquid LSD, all worth Rs 8.10 lakh were seized from his possession.Officials said that before his arrest, the South Goa police were on the lookout for him, but he kept changing his place of stay and shifted to the North.
