A Mapusa court on Tuesday extended the police custody of the two main accused in the alleged Sonali Phogat murder case by another two days.
The alleged main accused “ Sudhir Sagwan and Sukhwinder Singh “ were sent to another two days police lockup by the Judicial Magistrate First Class, Mapusa.
Both the accused were arrested in the murder case on August 26 and later sent to police custody for 10 days. They were presented before the local court for further remand after their 10-day custody ended on Tuesday.
Phogat was brought dead to a hospital in Anjuna early August 23 after partying with her two associates “ Sagwan and Singh “ at the Curlies shack cum restaurant the previous night.
Police registered two cases in the murder case “ a murder case and a narcotics case and so far arrested five people in connection with the case including owner of Curlies Restaurant Edwin Nunes and two drug peddlers Dattaprasad Gaonkar and Ramakant Mandrekar.
