Goa police have asked the offshore casino operators to ensure strict vigil to thwart any attempts of smuggling and consumption of drugs in their respective vessels.
A meeting chaired by deputy superintendent of police, Anti Narcotics Cell (ANC) Nerlon Albuquerque in the presence of PI Arun Desai directed the casino representatives to ensure stringent checking of its visitors, employees including staff and utility visitors while entering the casino premises.
Surveillance at the frisking points and continuous monitoring of CCTV cameras were also emphasized. The casino operators have also been suggested to put up anti-drugs banners at prominent places on their premises.
