Shiksha Vision Bicholim distributed fertilisers and seeds to about 650 farmers in different parts of Bicholim constituency. Fertilisers and seeds were distributed to farmers at various places, including Bordem, Lamgaon, Menkure and Sal on Saturday and Sunday.
In his address, Dr Chandrakant Shetye of Shiksha Vision described farmers as the backbone of India and said their contribution was a small effort to help those who in crisis on account of the Covid pandemic. “Everybody is taking an initiative to boost agriculture in rural areas. During this time of the pandemic, everyone is beginning to understand the importance of agriculture," said Dr Shetye.
Dr Dinesh Amonkar said the Shiksha Vision Bicholim will provide all possible help to the youth to turn to agriculture by using modern techniques. Dilip Dhargalkar and Ravalu Shetye outlined the work of the organisation and assured that all possible help would be provided to farmers and various sections of society.
