Campaigning in the poll-bound States of Madhya Pradesh and Telangana, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant raked up the 'anti-Sanatani' argument against the Opposition INDIA bloc as he led roadshows and addressed press conferences in support of local BJP candidates in these two States.
“The name INDIA is being used by the opposition alliance. Since its inception, it has been anti-Sanatan and the members have adopted corrupt policies. These parties have consistently installed corrupt administrations across the nation,” Sawant said. Sawant was addressing a rally as part of the campaign for BJP's candidate in the Dewas assembly constituency.
In Telangana, Sawant took part in a roadshow in the Jubilee Hills area where he also addressed a press conference and described the saffron party's opponents, the ruling BRS and the Congress, as "two sides of the same coin". Sawant alleged that the BRS had failed to fulfil the aspirations of providing "water, funds, or job opportunities" -- the reason why Telangana was formed.
"Indirectly, Congress and BRS is one and the same. I would say they are two sides of the same coin. Because, the Congress is known for corruption, commission and which does communal riots is the BRS," Sawant alleged.
Sawant said those who win from the Congress would switch over to BRS and urged the people to elect a "double-engine government" in Telangana to realise the "water, funds for development and jobs" aspirations.
Taking to micro-blogging site 'X', Sawant said: "Great support for BJP Candidate Shri @LDR4BJP ji in Jubilee Hills Constituency, Telangana. I am confident that the people's support will lead to a majority mandate for Shri Lankala Deepak Reddy ji."
Elsewhere in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, Sawant's cabinet colleague Health Minister Vishwajit Rane too was on the campaign trail.
