The Shadow Council for Margao (SCM) on Sunday charged that the violation of the High Court order with respect to the Feast fair at old market was an internal understanding between the Municipal authorities and a contractor.
“We were well aware of this game plan, with all the authorities in the loop, but we waited to see how serious the Council was in enforcing the High court directions, he said. The half hearted drive today morning by the Municipal market inspectors and the police was clearly suggestive to the fact that some political masters had already scripted the drama of action”, he added.
