The State government on Friday appointed managing directors of two important State-owned corporations -- Goa Education Development Corporation (GEDC) and Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC).
While Grade I officer Arvind Khutkar has been appointed as Managing Director of the GEDC, his peer Sanjeev Gauns Dessai will be the head honcho at GTDC.
In another significant appointment, Vishant Gaunekar has been named the new Registrar of Co-operative Societies.
Also, Laura Britto e Madre Deus was appointed 'Special Officer' at the Planning and Statistics department and Dipak Bandekar, who is the director of Information and Publicity, has been given the additional charge of director of archives.
