BJP's Goa spokesman Dr Wilfred Mesquita alleged thatvacancies were created and filled illegally prior to the recent statelegislative assembly election by former the government to consolidate its votebank.
The party leaders today met Chief Minister Manohar Parrikarand requested that the ACB should be asked to inquire into the recruitments,keeping in mind the forthcoming legislative assembly election.
"There are total 15 bulls in two farms owned by thedepartment who are looked after by 100 attendants. The government created 74additional posts, which were not required at all," Mesquita added. Theentire selection process is irregular and manipulated, he alleged.
Pointing out to documents submitted by candidates, Mesquitasaid that although they had given residential addresses from across Goa, themajority of them had procured residence certificates from only a particulartaluka.
He also claimed that jobs were created without assessment bythe work study unit of the Administrative Reforms Department (ARD).
"They also circumvented the mandatory medical testrequired during recruitments," he said.
The party also alleged that the written examination papersfor posts of lower division clerks were leaked to a few 'selected' students.
"The papers were tough, but few selected studentsmanaged to write the right answers," he alleged.
