Finally, the BJP had the last laugh in this election and it is ‘bhivpachi goroz na’ for Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for the next five years. All along it knew the anti-BJP votes would be split and the party will win the election. Because of RGP and TMC, the Congress lost the race. The margin of victory was very small for the BJP. The RGP entry in Goan politics was underestimated. The ‘uzzo’ (fire) of the party stole the victories of Congress and BJP’s Francis Silveira, who is upset with Londonkars for his political doom. Now the elections are done and dusted and Goans have to again take control of their future to ensure this government does what is good for the State. Also, it is time for Congress leadership across India to go back to the drawing board.
