The elections are done and dusted and now it is necessary and high time that the Congress high command reinvents itself and places a good and energetic new Congress President as Sonia and Raul Gandhi have been in charge of the party much against the wishes of the voters of India. We have Gulab Nabi Azad, Kamal Nath, Young Shashi Tharoor as well as Sachin Pilot who are waiting for years to take over and give fresh leadership to the Congress working committee. The Gandhi-appointed nominees are not allowing fresh blood, except for the Gandhis to rule the Congress party, and in the process are destroying the grand old party. Also, post the election results, the people in Goa will have to remain extra vigilant and not get polarised on religious lines. The State has a history of communal harmony which must be kept intact.
