Opposition floors ruling junta

The four-day curtailed session of the Goa Legislative Assembly was a very stormy one. The BJP government would have curtailed it even further if they could.

The Opposition did a commendable job raising a battery of issues and exposing the government on multiple issues. As expected a host of alleged scams by the government came to light.

Needless to say the unstoppable Fatorda MLA proved to be the de-facto Leader of the Opposition taking head on the brute majority of the ruling.

The BJP government now better known as an Event management company is merrily milking the state exchequer while keeping the gullible Goans entertained with festivals and festivities.

This Assembly session has exposed the lack of good governance while corruption and catering to vested interests has been the focus and thrust of this government which has been goofing on all fronts.

The dismay, despair and desperation of those eight defector MLAs who have been eagerly awaiting positions of Power was more than evident. For the BJP they are now political residue which the party will hold on till the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and then discard.
