However, whatever the results, The real losers in every election are those conscientious voters, steadfast in their loyalties to parties and candidates. Their votes are swayed not by principles but personal considerations and future expectations. They are not lured with cash or freebies but by personal and close relations.
It has happened all these years: Candidates loyalty is to the greed and not any principles, but the voters remain steadfast to their principles refusing to change their ideology.The most loyal candidates who have prospered have deserted under one excuse or other justifying their actions to defect and change labels. No party has promised electoral reforms, as the status quo serves all parties. The polls provide fodder to press and electronic media and also to parties giving them a feel of reality or absurdity till the outcome of official results
