It is really shocking to learn that the airlines which are operating at Dabolim airport south Goa are charging higher airfares to the flyers compared to the New Manohar international airport at Mopa with the difference being in the range of Rs 2,500 to Rs 3,000. This clearly shows that something is fishy and since the Mopa airport is operated by GMR private company there is the pressure from the central government and Airport Authority of India to benefit the private partner. Also the timings of Dabolim airport are different from Mopa airport where the flights reach in morning at Mopa and the flights at Dabolim reach in afternoon from all over country. There is the hidden agenda of the AAI and the BJP government to close the Dabolim airport and turn it into ghost airport. They want to hand over the Dabolim airport completely to the Indian navy. The hotel and tourism industry in south Goa is at risk. Yes our past and present MLAs and ministers, both of Congress and BJP sold themselves for the greed of money and power. The politicians only think about themselves and not the future of Goa.
