Bank and post office staff cannot converse in Konkani

Anyone visiting banks (public and private) and post offices in Goa can agree with me, that many staff can only speak Hindi and the local language of their state.  It is extremely frustrating for many customers that these staff cannot converse in the state's official language Konkani and cannot even speak in proper English. The issue is not with Hindi, but it is unacceptable in Goa for Hindi to be their only way of easy communication. The Goa BJP Government, led by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, makes strong statements about preserving Konkani, including its use in official and working contexts. However, why is the Goa Government not ensuring that this is implemented in banks and post offices as well? Would such a situation be tolerated in neighboring states such as Maharashtra or Karnataka? It is another serious matter particularly with Goa’s high unemployment, as to why the government is not mandating majority employment to Goans instead. I request the government to, in addition to paying just lip service and propaganda statements in favour of Goa's official language, to also pass strict legislation to ensure implementation.
