BJP leaders eye profits from promoting hinterland tourism

The recent news of the allegedly illegal bar owned by a BJP Union Minister's family as also the alleged luxurious house in Corjuem in the name of the minister is an eye-opener. There are many mostly BJP leaders who bought huge properties in Goa just before demonetisation. Other politicians too own properties in Goa. Most of these properties are in the hinterland and the owners don’t just want to keep the same idle with no income unlike the Goans do for posterity. Such properties can earn only from tourism, and we see at every point: central BJP leaders, local BJP leaders and the Governor promoting hinterland tourism. The current tourist hot spots are a stinkpot with no benefit to locals. The Govt. must show us who are the employees of all these businesses? It is not Goans. I have seen ads in local papers for huge tracts of even farmlands in specified villages. The Sanguem farmers will do well to find out which recent owners have huge tracts of farms there. Let the government acquire those lands for the IIT.
