If we drive from Pernem to Canacona with a four-wheeler or two-wheeler we will notice more than ankle-deep pot holes filled with water during the rainy season where four-wheelers cannot manoeuvre on these roads, imagine how the two-wheelers will manoeuvre these roads? This shows the pathetic condition of the roads in Goa. This pathetic condition of roads is not only the highways but also the village roads that are not motorable. After paying road tax to the RTO for using the roads, it is the duty of the government and the Public Works Department to give us motorable roads.
If people of Goa cannot get motorable roads than the government should stop taking road tax. Before the monsoons there are no potholes and people think the government has done a good job but once the monsoon sets in Goan roads become death traps. Will the government take to task the people responsible for the pathetic road conditions of Goa or will they wash their hands off the issue?
