EAM Jaishankar is raising matters relating to the 1962 conflict with China and claiming that a bridge in our territory was taken over then which remains even today in their custody. The issue is not of just the bridge but the infringement of China in our northern and north-eastern borders ranging from Ladakh to Tawang where it is said that thousands of kms of our territory is under the control of the Chinese. Given the contradictory statements that the BJP government has been making on the Chinese aggression on our northern and northeastern borders, it is best that the government comes out with a White Paper and presents it to Parliament. Jaishankar is resembling in his public speaking a parrot repeating the words of his master. This is being said in the context of his statement on the timing of why BBC was airing the documentary on the Gujarat riots and the Hindenburg report which came just before some of the Assembly elections. It is only weak nations like the 'banana republics' and devious ones like Pakistan who raise these bogeys.
